What we do

One shop, from a scuffed bumper to a full custom build

Most people find us after an accident. A lot of them come back years later with a project car, because the same crew that fixes a daily driver also builds the Mustangs and Land Cruisers you see in the shop.

What we are known for

Carbon fiber, made here

Large carbon fiber rear diffuser fabricated in house at Craft Collision

Very few body shops in Palm Beach County repair carbon fiber, and fewer still fabricate it. We do both: cracked panels repaired so the weave lines up again, and one-off hoods, diffusers, wings, vents and ducts laid up in our own molds.

It is automotive work only — no bicycles, no marine parts.

The shop

Built by Jonathan Diaz

Craft Collision & Restoration is owned and run by Jonathan Diaz, a painter and builder who put the shop together bay by bay — including the booth. What started as collision work grew into custom paint, carbon fiber fabrication and full restorations, because customers kept asking for the next thing.

You are not handed off to a service writer here. The person who paints your car is the person you talk to about it.

FAQs

How much does it cost to paint a car?

It depends on the size of the car, the color and how much bodywork is hiding under the old paint. A single-panel refinish is a few hundred dollars; a full respray in the original color starts well above that, and a custom finish with stripes or a color change costs more again because of the prep hours. The honest answer is that nobody can quote a repaint over the phone. Bring the car by, we will look at the panels in daylight and give you a written number before anything starts.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Estimates are free and there is no obligation. Drive the car in, or send us photos by text if you just want a rough idea before you make the trip. If the job goes through your insurance we write the estimate in the format the carrier needs and submit it for you. If something is found once the panels come off, we document it and file a supplement rather than quietly adding it to your bill.

How do I choose a good body shop?

Ask where the paint is sprayed. A shop with its own booth controls dust, temperature and airflow, which is most of what makes a color match hold up in sunlight two years later. Ask to see finished cars, not just photos of the work in progress. Ask who is actually doing the paint. And be careful with any shop that quotes a repaint sight unseen or pressures you to skip the insurance process.

Do you work with my insurance company?

Yes, all of them. You are not required to use the shop your insurer recommends: in Florida you choose where your car gets repaired. Bring us the claim number and we take it from there, including the estimate, the supplements and the direct billing. If you are paying out of pocket instead, tell us and we will look at repair options that keep the cost down without cutting corners on the paint.
